How do I go about taking each
test and moving around the site?
Hardware and Software Requirements
The site is best viewed on a PC with Windows 98 or better
operating system, using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher,
with a 1024x768 screen resolution. If you're using a different
browser or operating system outside these parameters,
you may have trouble viewing content or graphics on this
site. In order to take many of the instruments, and see
the animations in this site, you will need to download
the Flash 6 plug-in.
Your current machine settings are listed below:
| Browser: |
|
| Screen Res: |
|
| Flash 6 Plugin: |
|
| Acrobat Plugin: |
|
If the above setting indicate the Flash 6 plugin is not
installed:
Click
here to download the Flash 6 Plug-in now.
If the screen resolution indicated above is less than
1024x768 then you must change it by right-clicking on
your desktop and do the following:
Properties -> Settings Tab -> Drag the slider until
the monitor resolution is 1024x768.
JavaScript and Cookies
Much of this site relies on the use of JavaScript and
session variables to validate input and maintain login
session state, so please make sure that these settings
are turned on when using this site.
To verify, click on Tools -> Internet Options ->
Security -> Custom Level and verify that the three
(3) scripting elements are 'Enabled'.
AOL Users
Your AOL browser is not configured for best viewing of
this site. For best results, please do the following:
Open Internet Explorer (the blue "e"), and type the following
'http://www.tsaponline.com' in the address line.
Testing Requirements
The following testing requirements apply to this site:
- For all tests, please answer all questions
before proceeding.
- To go forward or backwards through any instrument,
you can use the back and forward buttons on your browser,
or the built-in back and forward buttons on the interface,
whichever is available.
- If you choose to exit before completing
any instrument, you may go back and your
session will resume on the last page posted, if any.
You will have to log in again.
- Should you hit the timeout on any instrument, or
your system crash or fail in any
way, you will be taken back to the login screen, and
will have to start over, or resume from where the
system last tracked you.
- To print documents in the system,
you can use the print button on your browser or any
internal interface print button on the screen.
- There is a system wide timout of
five (5) hours on the login to the TSAP. If you've
not accessed a TSAP page (not including an instrument)
in that time, the system will log you out
automatically, and you'll have to take any
open instruments again.
To begin an instrument, use the left navigation buttons
that will appear once you are logged into the TSAP system.
If you've already completed an instrument, it will no
longer have an active link, and will be checked off on
the left navigation menu. All navigation instructions
for each instrument are provided on the launch page for
said instrument.
